The Proposal
Alex did a great job on the proposal. He took me to a spa resort in Stowe Vermont called "Stoweflakes." He pampered me all day with a massage, facial, pedicures, etc. Once I was all done he is waiting for me and we walked back to the hotel room. Once he opened the door and I walked in the fire place was on, there were beautiful flowers in a vase on the table and a bottle of my favorite white wine (Savignon Blanc) being chilled on the table next to the flowers. Before I realize what was happening Alex was down on one knee holding the ring box in his hands and asked me "Will You Marry Me?" It was very romantic and he was well prepared by letting me use his phone as mine had no service so I could call my family and my friends with the goods news and gave me two hours before dinner. We later went to dinner at the resort restaurant which was very romantic. It was the perfect proposal.
The First Date
Alex doesn't seem to think that this was our first date but it truly was. He asked me out to dinner and we went to a cute little itialian restaurant in his old neighborhood near Fenway Park in Boston called "Canestaro." To my surprise when I get to the restaurant he is waiting for me with his roommate (Pat Schoennagel...one of the groomsmen). The three of us had a wonderful first date =).
How We Met
Alex and I have a very romantic story on how we met. We actually met in Managerial Accounting class at Northeastern University where Alex was the class clown in the back of the room and I was the quiet girl in the front of the room. We happened to be placed in the same group for our group project and had to spend a lot of time together to get the project done. Who knew that six years later we would be getting married! =)
